Skip hire is an affordable and highly convenient way to dispose of extra rubbish that may be generated at your home or business, whether it be the result of building works, seasonal gardening or a simple clear out of old or no longer wanted furniture items and here at Norhire we provide a premium local skip hire service to Cairns and surrounding areas.

Ordering a skip from Norhire is simple – but there is one query that is put to us more often than not, and that relates to the size of skip that our clients require. For those regular clients that we serve, this is not usually a concern but for many, visualising the size if skip that is required can be problematic. Thankfully, however we have a comprehensive range of skip bins from 2 to 20 cubic meters to meet your needs.

At 2m3 and 3m3 our smallest bins are only 1.5 metres in height and hold respectively, approximately 8 and 12 wheelie bins worth of waste and these are the only two size of skip bins that we supply that do not have wheelbarrow access end doors. At the other end of the scale our large capacity 20m3 skip bin is 2m in height and can accommodate the equivalent of 80 wheelie bins or 20 standard trailers.

The golden rule however is never to overfill your skip bin, so if in doubt it makes sense to order one slightly larger that your estimated needs – it will save time, effort and expense further down the line.
